Zoe Kravitz, daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, has been tapped to play Catwoman in the upcoming Warner Bros. film, The Batman.
The actress beat Alicia Vikander and Eiza Gonzales to play opposite the Caped Crusader which will be played by Robert Pattinson.
But the role isn't too far off from Zoe as she already played the voice of Catwoman in the 2017 animation film The Lego Batman Movie.
The announcement was made by director Matt Reeves after he posted a tweet last October 15 with a GIF of Zoe Kravitz saying, “Hello.”

Zoe will be following in the footsteps of renowned actresses who played the anti-heroine and sometime love interest of Batman like Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992 and Halle Berry in 2004.
The actress also received the stamp of approval from former Catwoman Anne Hathaway, who played opposite Christian Bale's Batman in The Dark Knight Rises.
She wrote on Facebook, “The biggest congrats to Zoe Kravits on landing the role of a lifetime. Well, one life anyway…
“Enjoy the ride, Selina.”
Similarly, "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa welcomed Zoe in the DC Universe through an Instagram post.
