GMA Public Affairs reminds viewers of their childhood best friend in the live animation series Alex & Amie featuring Kapuso stars Mikael Daez and Max Collins.

Strict, serious, and meticulous. These are words that describe teacher Alex (Mikael Daez) of Buenavitez Institute of Learning. His 'exemplary' image earned him the task of being the homeroom adviser of the school's most notorious class. Everything is fine until someone from his past makes a comeback in his life: Amie--his childhood best friend. To make things complicated, Amie is an imaginary friend.

Now Alex is faced with a dilemma: how will he perform his teaching duties and keep his image to his class when everywhere he goes, Amie is there? Worse, it seems Amie gets in the way of Alex's personal life, jeopardizing his chances of being close to the school's Nurse Bing (Max Collins).
