Bloggers’ Style Camp is an artist building fashion photography competition which involves GMA Networks artists along with the country’s top entertainment, lifestyle, fashion and beauty bloggers. It also aims to strengthen the relationship of GMA with its online influencers through campaigning socially relevant advocacies. Each team had a roster of stylists, fashion and entertainment bloggers, as well as hair and makeup artists to come up with the campaign.
The first Bloggers’ Style Camp (2015) centered on building four of GMA Network’s most sought-after love teams and promoting their advocacies. Team Gabru (Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid), who are nature lovers in real life, went avant-garde in their environment-themed pictorial. Teen sensations BiGuel (Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix) dressed as students to show the importance of education. Home-grown talents KrisJoy (Kristoffer Martin and Joyce Ching) used their imagination to capture the concept of anti-bullying while RasTro (Rhian Ramos and Glaiza de Castro) promoted gender equality.
2016
Last year, Bloggers’ Style Camp (2016) focused on promoting GMA Network’s anti-cyberbullying advocacy #HeartOverHate. The goal was to help transform netizens into advocates of love especially online. This award-winning campaign was participated by two teams. Team Girls consisted of Bea Binene, Louise delos Reyes, Ashley Ortega and Mikee Quintos. Team Boys consisted of Ken Chan, Derrick Monasterio, Martin del Rosario and Phytos Ramirez. Through compelling photos, the teams were able to spread awareness about the effects of cyberbullying and encourage netizens to spread love on social media.
Taking its main message of “Letting your words be someone’s inspiration,” this year’s Bloggers’ Style Camp aims to talk to the bystanders and encourage them to use their words to show support and love to defend the victims of bullying. The campaign intends to empower bystanders to speak up and protect the cyberbullied victims through a photo shoot with the theme, “Have The Heart Of A Hero, Use Your Words As Your Super Power To Spread Love and Overcome Hate.” With the objective of reaching more people to be one in our advocacy, we also invited the country’s top Youtubers and Vloggers to participate in this year’s project.
