Versatile TV and movie actor Paolo Contis learned a lot from collaborating with several social media stars in the gag show 'Bubble Gang.'
Working with several social media content creators for the past months has really opened the mind of Sparkle actor Paolo Contis about the diverse taste of Pinoys when it comes to comedy.
Since the relaunch of Bubble Gang in May 2022, several social media personalities have graced the show including Manoy, Lottie B, Christian Antolin, and Justine Luzares, to name a few.
In his interview with GMANetwork.com, Paolo shared some of his realizations about working with these talented individuals. He noted, “Yung pakikipagtrabaho with content creators yan 'yung nagbukas sa mga isipan namin na ibang-iba na talaga 'yung comedy. Ibang-iba na talaga 'yung gusto ng mga tao.”
He continued, “So, kailangan, ito 'yung part na sinasabi namin nag-aadapt 'yung Bubble Gang, kailangan namin mag-adapt sa klase ng content na nagu-gustuhan ng mga tao, pero siyempre hindi dapat mawala 'yung Bubble Gang flavor.
“Dinadala namin 'yung gusto nila pero at the same time ibinibigay namin kung ano 'yung nakasanayan namin pagdating sa comedy. So, it's a very good collaboration, marami kami natutunan sa mga content creators and hopefully by guesting here may natutunan din sila sa amin.”
Starting this Sunday, July 9, the longest-running gag show is moving to its new timeslot and will be offering fresh content and will feature three new Kababol members.
Bannered by Michael V. and Paolo, Bubble Gang will still feature Chariz Solomon, Analyn Barro, Betong Sumaya, and Kokoy de Santos.
What's more, three new cast members will add more fun to our Sunday night viewing. Joining the stellar cast of the Kapuso gag show are EA Guzman, Buboy Villar, and Cheska Fausto.
Will there be significant changes to the content that will be featured in the show?
Pao explained, “Naniniwala ako since mas wider 'yung audience na mare-reach namin, mas magiging maingat kami sa pagdala ng comedy. Maingat in the sense na wala kami ma-offend, maingat in the sense na wala kaming tamaan o mabastos na tao.
“Pero nandiyan pa rin 'yung tapang namin in tackling iba't ibang diverse situations para mas nakakatawa.
“And sometimes being naughty is part of being funny.”
