Award-winning comedian and creative director Michael V. considers his past as a source of inspiration in creating funny sketches for Kapuso gag show 'Bubble Gang.'
Highly-respected comedian and content creator Michael V. shared how his past experiences have been helping him create the popular sketches and gags in the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang.
In a report by 24 Oras, Bitoy, also known as Beethoven del Valle Bunagan in real life, said his old life living in a tenement is always a great source of inspiration.
Direk Bitoy explained, “Hindi tayo tumitigil ng pag-oobserba ng mga tao sa paligid natin. 'Yung kinalakihan ko 'yung tenement talagang napakagandang playground at tsaka resource material, source material para sa mga characters at tsaka [sa] mga scenarios.
“Marami [ang] pinagdaanan ko, so that itself, baon ko na and hindi naman ako tumigil sa pag-oobserba ng mga tao.”
Beginning May 27, Bubble Gang will also be serving a new dose of laughter on their relaunch.
Aside from new sketches, gags, and spoofs, the Kapuso gag show will be introducing new cast members led by Kokoy de Santos, Faith Da Silva, StarStruck heartthrob Kim de Leon, Dancer-YouTuber Dasuri Choi, and Tuesday Vargas!
Long-time Kababol Paolo Contis told 24 Oras that it is an exciting time for all of them because even the stars of the show are very hands on in coming up with ideas for Bubble Gang's weekly episodes.
“We always have that pressure sa mga sarili namin na makapaghatid kami ng relevant at maayos na content para sa mga tao. And lalo ngayon, sobrang hands on na rin ng mga actor sa mga ginagawa namin,” Paolo said.
Meanwhile, the newest Bubble Gang director Frasco Mortiz stressed that it is important for him to be collaborative with the cast and creative team to produce a good output for their loyal viewers.
He noted, “Lahat kami we all work as one para mag-work 'yung materyal. Hindi ako 'yung tipo kung ano 'yung gusto ko, ito lang ang gagawin mo. Ano ako, very collaborative, kasi feeling ko 'yung magandang trabaho doon lumalabas kapag lahat ng inputs ng bawat isa parang nako-combine mo siya.”
