What piece of advice can Jose Manalo and Derrick Monasterio share with contestants of 'Catch Me Out Philippines' when it comes to faking confidence? Read on:
With only a few days away from the world premiere of Catch Me Out Philippines, stars Jose Manalo and Derrick Monasterio gladly shared their fool-proof tricks to fake confidence when hitting the stage.
During a virtual media conference, Jose Manalo said that it's important for one to focus on the task at hand rather than reaching for fame or fortune.
He said, “Unang una hindi rin naman papasok ang isang amateur sa audition at 'di siya ipapasok ng GMA kung alam naming wala siyang kapasidad sa bagay na gusto niyang gawin.
“Kung baga mayroon siyang sayaw na gusto niyang gawin tapos ang gagawin niya ay ibibitin siya sa kung saan saan, which is hindi niya nagagawa sa normal niyang buhay.
“So ang tip ko is siguro maging seryoso lang sila sa gagawin nila at hindi lang na 'yung appearance nila para makilala o para maging ganito. Siguro tanggalin muna nila 'yun at isipin nila muna na yung mga dapat nilang i-perform at dun muna sila mag-pokus.
“At the same time, kailangan love mo 'yung ginagagawa mo. Gusto mo kaya mo siya ginagawa at hindi kailangan mo.”
Meanwhile, Derrick added, “Feel ko, if you train hard and magkaroon ka ng determination na kayanin mo ay magagawa mo 'yung dapat mong gawin.
“Dapat mahalin mo rin 'yung ginagawa mo and walang imposible 'pag nilagay mo 'yung puso at isipan mo sa gusto mong gawin.
“'Pag nag fail ka, try lang ulit atleast alam mo na kung paano itatama 'yung mali mo.”
Premiering this February 6th, Catch Me Out Philippines is an exciting weekly game, reality, talent show where everyday people take on the challenge to fool their audience that they are professionals.
Each week, two performers will train under the watchful eye of their mentors to master a skill and perform it in front of 10 celebrity catchers, including the show's regular Celebrity Spotters Kakai Bautista and Derrick Monasterio.
Whether it be Aerial Silk Dance or a string instrument performance, contenders must bring their A-game to the stage to fool their audience. At the end of each episode, the impostor who manages to conceal their identity among a pool of professionals goes home with the prize.
