Centerstage contestant Mary Rose Ybanez

'Centerstage' judges laud Mary Rose Ybañez's 'Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka' version.

Baguio City's pride Mary Rose Ybañez, 10, wowed the judges by her astounding performance of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigan Ka” in Centerstage's February 23 episode.

Mary Rose quickly gained positive comments even after she just sang the first line of the song.

Judge Mel Villena commented to her singing style, “Ang ganda ng pitch.”

Judges Pops Fernandez and Aicelle Santos were also all smiles during Mary Rose's performance.

Although her voice cracked and became shaky at the end of the performance, Pops still loved the whole act.

“I love the quality and sweetness of your voice. So keep it up. Congrats to you!,” she said.

Mel also said that he was impressed by Mary Rose's modulation.

“Impressive lalo na 'yung 'pag nagshi-shift na 'yung key, 'yung mapupunta na sa ibang key. Nagmo-modulate ang tawag du'n.

“Ang talas ng tainga mo, iha, kasi natatamaan niya 'yung kambiyo na 'yun. Mahirap basta hulihin 'yun. Ang you were able to hit that well,” the renowned musical director said.

On the other hand, Aicelle related that she sang the song neatly and nicely.

“As said, napakalinis ng pagkanta mo. I don't how you do it at such a young age. Kahit may banda ka na na nagda-drums, hindi ka nawawala. It's just there, ang talas-talas ng tainga mo, which is rare for a 10-year-old girl,” she added.
