As the singing competition, Centerstage launched an online audition for kids seven to 12 years old, one of its acclaimed judges, Kapuso vocal powerhouse Aicelle Santos, gave some tips on how aspirants could improve their audition piece.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Aicelle said that participants should be true to their style of singing.
“Ang aking mabibigay na advice is to sing with your heart. That's very important. Choose a song piece na hindi naman kailangan na sobrang hirap and you don't have to sound like anybody else,” she said.
She also reminded them to stay unique and refrain from pushing their vocals to the extent that would affect their performance.
“Kung hindi pa kaya ng kapasidad ng boses mo because your small, that's okay. Sing with your voice that makes you very unique,” she added.
As for the Centerstage's Bida Kids who have already performed and even advanced to the grand finals, she said, “'Wag kayong tumigil sa pagkanta. I'm sure dahil hilig nila 'yan, everyday 'yan kumakanta. Never stop learning.”
