Many were impressed with Kapuso actress Shaira Diaz's professionalism while doing a scene in the hit afternoon soap Contessa despite feeling under the weather.

The promising star shared on Instagram Stories that she was diagnosed with amoebiasis
while working in the soap, but decided to continue on.

She even made fun of herself by posting a snippet of her scene in Contessa.

According to healthline.com, amoebiasis is a parasitic infection of the intestines caused by the protozoan Entamoeba histolytica or E. histolytica. The symptoms of amoebiasis include loose stool, abdominal cramping, and stomach pain.

Aside from Contessa, Shaira is set to star in a romcom film with David Licauco titled 'Because I Love You' directed by Joel Lamangan.
