'Descendants of the Sun Ph' cast pays tribute to COVID-19 frontliners
The cast of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) paid tribute to the "superheroes" who are at the front lines in battling COVID-19.
In their own little way, the cast, led by Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, Rocco Nacino, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, produced a simple art card to express their utmost gratitude to the frontliners, comprising not just health workers and military and police responders but also warehouse and factory workers, grocery store personnel, restaurant workers, truck drivers, scientists and researchers, farmers, and janitors, garbage collectors, and sanitation workers.
The caption read: "Thanks to all our #Frontliners! You are our superheroes!"
The cast also encourage everyone to extend help to those who lost their jobs because of the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine by donating to the Kapuso Foundation.
Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) also stars Chariz Solomon, Ande Paras, Neil Ryan Sese, Paul Salas, Lucho Ayala, Jon Lucas, Prince Clemente, Renz Fernandez, Nicole Donesa, Jenzel Angeles, and Ricardo Cepeda among others.
The Kapuso series tells the epic love story between a Special Forces captain and a doctor which tracks both their personal and professional struggles, while exploring issues about the value of life as they face battles disasters, and other dangers.
