On the November 26 episode of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), a sniper fired his gun at Rodel (Neil Ryan Sese) and hit his right shoulder. Lucas (Dingdong Dantes) caught the rebel group leader but a tear gas exploded. When the smoke settled, Lucas and his team found out that Rodel was missing.

The special forces chased after Rodel and his group but a grenade was thrown at them.

Rodel reunited with his men who were so happy to see their leader. Lucas apologized to his father Abraham (Roi Vinzon) for his failed mission. Lucas vowed to catch Rodel next time to let him pay for what he did to the alpha team leader's father.

When Diego (Rocco Nacino) was about to leave Davao, his aunt, Rona, gave him a small trinket box--it was from Ruby, his mother. The box contained all the mementos Ruby held dear when she was still alive. Inside it, Diego found a picture of a man from some 20 years ago. Behind it, a love note for his mother was written. It was from the man who left his mother, the man who made his mother suffer, and it was none other than Moira's (Jasmine Curtis-Smith) father, Lt. Col. Defensor (Ricardo Cepeda). Diego finally understood the reason why Lt. Col. Defensor was against his relationship with Moira.

Rona told Diego everything she knew about Lt. Col. Defensor, including all the sufferings Ruby had to endure before because of him. Diego couldn't believe what he heard and felt that he couldn't forgive Lt. Col. Defensor.
