On the December 7 episode of Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation), Rodel (Neil Ryan Sese) asked Maxine (Jennylyn Mercado) to meet him again moments before Lucas (Dingdong Dantes) caught him the other night.

While Maxine was disinfecting Rodel's gunshot wounds, he revealed the real reason why he joined PRG. Rodel recalled he was removed from the military after he was caught having a relationship with PRG member, Janet (Ruch Asuncion).

Maxine then tried to convince her brother to surrender to the authorities but he opposed.

Meanwhile, Lucas found Maxine on her way back to the medicube. When he asked where she went, Maxine made up an excuse. She said she went to the other town to take care of some patients.

Before the night ended, Maxine received a call from Rodel, convincing her to stop her relationship with Lucas. He was just outside the medicube.

Maxine went out of the medicube to meet with Rodel but Nurse Hazel (Jenzel Angeles) caught her and immediately recognized that Rodel was a rebel. When Hazel ran, Rodel grabbed her arm and pointed his knife on her neck. By reflex, Maxine shielded Hazel with her body. She pleaded for Rodel to put down the knife, but the latter was determined to hurt Hazel.
