Actress and host Maja Salvador is now preparing for her upcoming wedding to her fiancé Rambo Nuñez in July. With the busy schedule she will have on her hands, she decided to temporarily leave her hosting job in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
In a statement made by Crown Artist Management, the talent agency owned by the actress-host and her fiancé, it explained why Maja decided to leave the program.
“Crown Artist Management would like to announce that with Maja Salvador's upcoming wedding and with all the uncertainties surrounding 'Eat Bulaga,' she will be leaving the noontime show for the time being,” it stated.
The statement continued that being a Dabarkads, as the hosts are fondly called, “was a dream of Maja that came true one and a half years ago.”
It added, “But for now, we have to give it a pause.”
The statement also clarified that Maja's decision to leave was already communicated to the management of Eat Bulaga, and requested the “utmost understanding” not only from the viewers but also the fans.
“Maja wishes Eat Bulaga, its hosts and staff, all the best! Maraming salamat, Dabarkads!” the statement ended.
