Umani ng atensyon online ang livestream ni Claudine Barretto noong January 24, kung saan inakusahan niya ang dati niyang personal assistant na si Ma. Solita “Marisol” Acap ng umano'y pagkuha sa kanyang mga anak nang walang pahintulot.
Sa parehong araw, nakumpirma na nakauwi na ang tatlong anak ni Claudine na sina Sabina, Quia, at Noah. Gayunpaman, bukod sa akusasyon laban sa kanyang personal assistant, nadawit din ang kanyang estranged husband niyang si Raymart Santiago, na ayon kay Claudine ay nakipagsabwatan umano sa nasabing insidente.
Sa Fast Talk With Boy Abunda nitong Lunes, January 26, nagpadala ng pahayag ang mga abogado ni Raymart upang linawin ang mga alegasyon ng kidnapping allegations.
“There is no truth to any of the allegations made by [Claudine Barretto], both in the past and recently, more so, our client is not in any way or form involved in the kidnapping incident of his children with Ms. Barretto, if there is indeed any,” paglinaw ng kanyang mga abogado.
“While painful and difficult, our client actively refrains from further addressing, dignifying, or responding to any of these statements as deference to the Gag Order issued by the court, which remains in full force and effect to this day. Our client respects the court and has faith that justice and truth will prevail in time,” dagdag pa niya.
Nagpaabot din ng paalala ang kampo ni Raymart na huwag gamitin ang impluwensiya sa social media upang sirain ang kanyang pangalan at reputasyon.
“We would also like to remind Ms. Barretto to refrain from weaponizing her influence, the media, and other platform in discrediting the name and reputation of anyone, especially our client. We also plead for the public to be more critical and discerning on their comments about the parties, especially when it involves private and sensitive family matters.”
