Evelyn and Larry were a happily married couple until their daughter, Ana, disappeared without a trace.
Odessa, a woman obsessed with Larry, took Ana and hid her in a barn with only a dog for a companion and away from any human interaction. This isolation turned Ana into a feral child lacking of any basic social skills.
One day, a fire broke out at the barn and enabled Ana to get out. As she stumbles into the woods, Anna encounters Calvin whom she tried to run away from until she accidentatlly falls off a cliff. Calvin rescues Ana, takes her home, and gives her a new name, Angela. Intrigued by Ana’s peculiar character, Calvin, who happens to be a Psychology student, makes her the case study for his thesis. In the process, Calvin teaches Ana about the world and helps her gain her humanity.
