Actress G. Töngi expressed her thoughts in the throwback segment of the online talk show Just In.

In this episode, Just In host Vaness Del Moral showed G. some photos, including her covers for a men's magazine in 2001 and 2012.

G Tongi reveals reason why she left showbiz and migrated to the US

G. shared a little background behind these photos. She said, “The first one when I was still a teenager, the second was taken I was already a mother.

“There's so much that has changed from then to now."

The mom of two continued by describing what goes through her mind while posing for the said covers.

“Magazines are meant to sell you something, right? When I look at those photos, I don't want to look at myself as objectifying myself, but it is time in my life where I chose to show off my sexuality or my sensuality.

“I feel na bilang babae at bilang Pilipina, we are so repressed na hindi ipakita ang ating mga desires, right?”

She added that she did the cover because she felt that she is empowered as a woman.

“I do it for myself because it's empowering that I know who I am and that I embrace my sensuality.”
