The upcoming collaboration project between GMA Network and Wattpad, “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms,” became a hot topic online among fans of the original series after the TV adaptation was announced last June 2022.
Furthermore, fans of the Kapuso love team Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay added to the hype when it was revealed that the two will star as the show's leads. “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms” also serves as the debut series for a number of Sparkada stars, namely, Vince Maristela, Sean Lucas, Raheel Bhyria, Michael Sager, Cheska Fausto, Kirsten Gonzales, Tanya Ramos, and Caitlyn Stave.
In an online press conference held last August 31, Sparkada Girls and “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms” stars Caitlyn Stave, Tanya Ramos, and Kirsten Gonzales expressed their excitement about their new show.
According to Caitlyn, she had a blast doing her debut project especially since it was with the top Kapuso love team AlFia and her fellow Sparkada artists.
"It was so fun, first experience ko 'to and it was with Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay and they were very helpful kasi syempre first time namin. I was also very happy kasi [maliban sa] first project ko 'to, it was my first project with my Sparkada so it was really just a great experience and it brought us closer together."
As for Tanya, the young actress openly admitted to feeling both pressured and challenged in her upcoming project seeing as two of her family members are in showbiz as well.
"To be honest, I was really pressured kasi marami pong naging fans 'yung dad [Wendell Ramos] ko and siguro hindi ko na rin maiiwasan na may ine-expect sa'kin ang mga tao. They have high expectations sa'kin, so yeah, I felt pressured but also at the same time, kinabahan ako. Pero knowing that I'm in the same industry and the same management as my dad and as my brother [Saviour Ramos], na-reassure ako na I was not alone doon sa industry.
"I think hindi na rin maiiwasan to feel challenged when portraying a character and lalo na kasi it was my first ever experience sa acting pero siguro as much as I want to, super determined ako actually to improve on my acting so inaral ko rin talaga 'yung character ko and may similarities din kami," she said.
Meanwhile, Kirsten shared a few challenges she faced in portraying her character in the show.
"Nahirapan talaga ako sa role ko and sa puyat. 'Yung role ko kasi parang ako 'yung binu-bully. Syempre maaapektuhan ka talaga and the negative energy from being bullied, mahirap siyang itabi after pero because of Ms. Ana [Feleo] and 'yung mga workshops na na-attendan ko, it helped me na magpagpag after."
However, despite the challenges she faced, Kirsten is super excited to share the fruit of their labor with the upcoming release of “Luv Is: Caught In His Arms.”
