Benjamin Alves and Herlene Budol in Magandang Dilag

Benjamin Alves to his 'Magandang Dilag' co-star Herlene Budol: 'You're a certified Kapuso Leading Lady.'

Benjamin Alves expressed his gratitude as his show Magandang Dilag aired its last episode on Friday, November 10.

"Mga Kapuso, maraming salamat sa mainit na pagtanggap sa ating Magandang Dilag! Sana po napasaya at napakilig namin kayo," the actor said in his latest Instagram post.

In Magandang Dilag, Ben was one of Herlene Budol's two leading men in the series. The other one was Rob Gomez who played Jared.

Ben played Atty. Eric, whom Gigi--Herlene Budol's character--fondly referred to as "Attorney Sungit" for being a stern lawyer. Atty. Eric was Gigi's personal lawyer who helped her exact revenge on those who scammed her. Atty. Eric eventually fell in love with Gigi.

In the final episode, Gigi chose Jared after he asked her to be his girlfriend but she had reservations about making a commitment with him.

Magandang Dilag, which ran for five months from June 26 to November 10, garnered important milestones such as maintaining good TV ratings.

Ben couldn't help but congratulate the team behind the show, as well as his leading lady for being the face of Magandang Dilag.

He said, "Congrats din to the entire cast and production who made this show possible. Sulit ang sacrifice natin.

"Congrats @herlene_budol, you really excelled in this role. You're a certified Kapuso Leading Lady."

Ben went on, "Looking forward to working with you again… MD Book 2, maybe?"
