Despite her father's initial disapproval of her marriage to Jonas (Mark Herras), Melissa (Jennylyn Mercado) still followed her heart and married the love of her life. However, upon finding out that her husband is cheating while he's working abroad, Melissa felt devastated when she discovers Jonas has Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome or AIDS, a reason why he was deported back to the Philippines. While struggling to accept the truth, Melissa soon tests positive for HIV, continuing to fight the stigma against the people who are discriminating her for her condition that she acquired from her late husband.
