Barbie Forteza: 'It was such a joy working with all of them.'
The cast of the high-rating primetime series Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune has mixed emotions as the soap aired its finale episode last night, February 25.
Clearly, the stars of the show have developed a strong bond while doing the soap and actively share on social media some of their bonding moments.
In a report by 24 Oras, Sparkle artist Barbie Forteza has only good words for the whole team behind Mano Po Legacy.
Barbie said, “Mami-miss ko lahat ng mga nakatrabaho ko po dito sa show na 'to. From the cast to the production staff, basically the whole team of 'Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune,' grabe! It was such a joy working with all of them.”
Fast-rising heartthrob Rob Gomez, who played Joseph revealed that he needed to raise his level of performance for this project.
“Sana matuwa [kayo] sa ginawa namin in the end, we had a twist. Added a twist, we have a big ending.” Rob said.
He continued, “I think I had to up my game working with them. So that gave me a little bit more of boost.”
Meanwhile, Nikki Co took to Instagram to express how much this primetime series means to him, especially for his growth as an actor.
“Till we meet again, Jameson. Thank you for the lessons and growth na nabigay mo sa akin. This wouldn't be possible without the trust na binigay sa akin ng @regalfilms50 at @gmanetwork . Salamat din sa @sparklegmaartistcenter for equipping me with enough skillset and giving me confidence kaya nagawa ko ng maayos ang role na ito.”
In other news, the chinito hottie also posted a special birthday greeting for his talented co-star, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, who played as his mother, Valerie, in Mano Po Legacy.
Nikki posted, “Happiest birthday to my mommy! On-cam and off-cam, you have treated me as your real son. Appreciate all the things you have taught me. Salamat tita @mommymaricel sa guidance mo sa akin.
“You're a blessing to everyone you meet. I'll make you proud! You deserve all the blessings God has given and will give to you. Enjoy your day mommy!”
Maricel was touched seeing the message of Nikki and replied, “Awwwww, Nikki!! Such an honor to play alongside you in @manopolegacy! You have already made me proud, son!!
