Barbie Forteza and Julie Anne San Jose gush over 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' co-star Dennis Trillo
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo are the leads in the much-awaited historical portal fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Barbie will play Klay, a Gen Z nursing student who suddenly finds herself inside the world of Jose Rizal's novels, "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo."
There she will meet the prim and proper Maria Clara played by Julie Anne, and the dashing Crisostomo Ibarra, played by Dennis.

Barbie and Julie Anne expressed excitement in working with Dennis as they admitted to having a crush on their Maria Clara at Ibarra co-star.
For Barbie, it is a dream come true to finally have a teleserye with Dennis who she considers one of her dream leading men.
The two have previously worked together in a few episodes of fantasy drama anthology Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko where they played werewolves.
"Nakakatuwa nga dahil, Diyos ko, bata pa lang ako, bagong pasok pa lang ako sa showbiz, 'yun na talaga 'yung bukambibig ko. I've always wanted to work with Mr. Dennis Trillo. Now na nangyari na, I'm very happy. I always enjoy doing scenes with him. Ang dali niyang katrabaho, very professional. Never siyang nale-late. And last but not the least, napaka guwapo. Sobrang guwapo!" Barbie gushed about her co-star in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.
Julie Anne is in awe of how Dennis transforms from rehearsal to the actual scene.
"I'm so, so honored to work with him kasi bukod sa napaka professional niya, ang kalmado niyang ka eksena. Before kasi, every time I see him, nasa-starstruck ako. Bukod sa crush namin siya ni Barbie dati, ako crush ko siya before, I'm just really amazed by how he's so focused sa bawat eksena niya. Talagang inaaral niya. Tapos kapagka siyempre rehearsal, para siyang nagri-reading lang pero pagka eksena na, alam mong commited siya sa eksea. Whoa! Mapapaganoon ka na lang. Masarap din katrabaho si Dennis," Julie Anne shaerd in a separate exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.
