What are your favorite Klay (Barbie Forteza) and Fidel (David Licauco) moments, mga Kapuso?
Kapuso primetime actor David Licauco admits that the now viral scene in Maria Clara at Ibarra, wherein Fidel confessed his feelings to Klay (Barbie Forteza), is his most memorable scene in the show.
In his interview with 24 Oras on Sunday, December 25, the Chinito heartthrob shared that shooting that particular scene was challenging.
David explained, “Pinaka-memorable for is 'yung umamin ako kay Klay, kasi ang haba nun. And naramdaman ko talaga siya, naiyak pa ako nung huli. So, I would say 'yun 'yung favorite ko talaga. Challenging siya honestly at saka ang ganda kasi nung shot.”
The Kapuso actor and businessman is still in awe of the immense support he and Barbie is getting from the fans of the show. “'Yung love ng fans na ibinibigay sa amin ni Barbie [Forteza} and to the whole show is overwhelming, so I think this is extra special for me.”
David also noted in the interview that he can very much relate to his character in Maria Clara at Ibarra.
“Torpe, mahiyain. So, sa simula talaga medyo ganun, 'yung tipong hindi ko alam kung papaano ia-approach 'yung babae, 'Should I do this? Should I do that?'” he said.
He added, “'Tapos, kapag nagustuhan ko na 'yung babae, I really make sure to give my 100 percent. Talagang binibigyan ko ng mga regalo. Umabot sa point na pumunta pa ako ng ibang bansa para sundan 'yung babae.”
