Ika-6 Na Utos tops the country’s afternoon shows for its consistent high ratings and director Laurice Guillen has a short but sweet "Thank you" message to all its supporters.
She didn’t foresee her show to be number one, “Very conservative ako sa ganyan, but I had a feeling that it’s extremely relatable ‘yung story. Very simple pero madaling mag-relate.”
Direk Laurice gives credit to her actors in the show for their effective portrayal of their characters especially that of Kapuso star Sunshine Dizon who plays the lead role Emma. She mentioned in Mars, “Si Sunshine, kung umiyak, bigay na bigay pero hindi ngumingiwi ang mukha kasi kapag bida ka tapos umiiyak ka at ngumunguwi ‘yung mukha mo, parang nakakatawa [at] hindi nakakaawa.”
Viewers are especially responsive to Sunshine’s character since the Kapuso actress also went through the same experience in real life.
“What I tell my actors is that don’t worry how you’re going to do it, just think about your own experience [like] the person who made you cry that way, the person na nagkaroon ka ng experience na ganyan like in the script [and] in the scene. ‘Yun lang ang buhayin mo and it will carry you through the scene,” the veteran director imparted in the talk show.
