As promised, Kuya Kim Atienza took Mars Pa More viewers into a much-needed joyride and he discovered a restaurant in Quezon City that serves mouthwatering Pangasinense dishes.

The said restaurant is called Mangan-tila Pigar-pigar, which is located on Scout Torillo street in Quezon City.

In Pangasinense, mangan-tila means “kain tayo” or let's eat, while pigar-pigar means “balibaliktad” or inverse.

During his visit, Kuya Kim had a little chat with resto owner Kirst Viray about Pangasinense cuisine and the new Mars Pa More host also tried some of their Pangasinense dishes.

One of their best sellers is the pigar-pigar, which is cooked with thin slices of carabao meat, spices, cabbage, onion, broccoli, and/or cauliflower. It can be eaten with or without rice.

“Hmmm…ang sarap nito, brod,” Kuya Kim tells Kirst after trying the pigar-pigar.

Another must-try is the Kaleskes soup, which is best paired with the pigar-pigar. Kirst says it uses the innards of a cow, and its flavor is a combination of the bulalo and the papaitan.

Other Pangasinense offerings that they have in the restaurant are relyenong bangus and papaitan.

They also have desserts, such as the leche flan and the suman de yema, made by actor Ahron Villena.
