Here's a healthy sopas recipe that babies and adults can both enjoy, especially during bed weather days.
Sopas is one of the all-time favorite merienda dishes of Filipinos, most especially during the rainy season.
In a recent episode of
Mars Pa More, 'Pepito Manaloto' star
Arthur Solinap revealed that sopas is actually a favorite of his wife
Rochelle Pangilinan and their daughter
Shiloh.
Moreover, Arthur said that what they love most about the rich and creamy sopas is that it is a healthy all-in-one dish that has protein, milk, carbs and veggies.
And to make it even healthier, they use skinless ground chicken breast, and they also exclude sausage and hotdog from the recipe, as they don't want to feed baby Shiloh any processed meat.
If you want to recreate this healthy version of sopas, here are the ingredients you'll need:
1 garlic
2 onions
1 kilo chicken breast
salt
pepper
water
1 can evaporated milk
elbow macaroni pasta
carrots
cabbage
Here are the seven steps in cooking Chicken Breast Sopas:
1. Sauté the garlic, onions, and chicken breast
2. Season with salt and pepper
3. Add water
4. Add evaporated milk
5. Put the pre-cooked elbow macaroni pasta
6. Add carrots and wait for the carrots to soften
7. Add cabbage and let it boil
