According to Mark, he loves scented candles so much. And during the quarantine, he just suddenly felt the urge to make one himself. So, he researched and tried his hand at it.
If you want to try it out yourself, here are all the materials you'll need:
soy wax
essential oil/fragrance oil
empty glass jars
wick holder
sticker
food thermometer
stainless pitcher
stove
Now that you have a list of materials, here's the step-by-step procedure on how to make your very own scented candle:
1. Put the wax in the pitcher
2. Then put the pitcher in a bigger pot that is half-filled with water
3. Heat the water. Then using the food thermometer, make sure the temperature reaches 180 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit
4. While waiting for the wax to melt, prepare the wick by placing it inside the glass jar using a sticker
5. Remove pitcher from the pot and when the temperature goes down to 170 degrees Fahrenheit, add the essential oil
6. Mix well and slowly for about two minutes
7. Once the temperature reaches 130 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit, pour the melted wax into the glass jar
8. Set aside and let it cool for three to five hours
Mark is aiming to perfect his candle-making skills in hopes that he can turn it into a business venture someday. And who knows, maybe you can do so too someday.
