Kapuso model/actor Gil Cuerva is super excited that his newest show My Guitar Princess has already began shooting. The highly anticipated Kapuso musical/romcom series is slated to be shown this coming May 2018.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Gil shared some details of their first couple of shooting days for the kilig series.

He said, “Medyo light pa lang. [It] hasn’t been that intense yet in terms of having a lot of sequences to shoot in a day. So far, there hasn’t been anything na sobrang tiring yet so we are not yet in that part of the grind.”

Gil added that work has been smooth, since he enjoys their shoots. “I would say that the first couple of taping days have helped me get my feet wet and have also been enjoyable in terms of doing some scenes,” he explained.

The hunk model will play the role of Canadian popstar Elton in My Guitar Princess. In terms of developing his character for the show, Gil stressed that he constantly asks suggestions and opinions from the creative team of the show especially their director, Nick Olanka.

“I ask him questions actually about my character rather and how they see my character and the direction they see my character going to,” shared Gil.

He added, “We based it a lot I guess on the character sketch given to me and you know also in the script, but I still ask some questions especially to Direk (Nick).”

Direk Nick is known for his films Ronda starring Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas and Cinco. For those who didn’t know, Direk Nick survived a hemorrhagic stroke in June 2016.
