What does Xander think of his first acting stint on Philippine TV?
In an interview with the media during My Korean Jagiya's press conference, Alexander Lee talked about his first project in the Philippines as the leading man of Kapuso star Heart Evangelista.
He said, "[It's] perfect, this is a very good start. Because before with U-KISS, I only had a tip of [it] only."
Alexander Lee debuted as a U-KISS member back in 2008, Xander only had limited projects as part of a boy group. In 2012, he ventured into acting. The singer-actor's first lead role was with the movie 3 Peas in a Pod. He also starred in the Korean drama Moorim School in 2016, before flying to the Philippines for My Korean Jagiya this 2017.
He considers My Korean Jagiya his big break in acting. "Finally, now, I get to really experience this, and I’m loving it," he said.??
It's not Xander's first time in the country. The former U-KISS member used to do mall tours, concerts, and TV guestings in the Philippines with the said group. The band from South Korea first visited Manila back in March 2010 for a series of mall shows, and even performed at the late German Moreno's show Walang Tulugan. In the same year, the all-male group staged their first solo concert titled 'U-KISS First Kiss Tour in Manila' at the Araneta Coliseum. U-KISS also opened for international superstar Rain during his 'Intensity' concert dated September 11, 2010.??
As a solo artist, Xander went back to Manila for his first ever fan meeting around July 2013, and was supposed to be one of the guests for KFEST4. In November 2013, Xander then appeared at KNATION4, and even led a donation drive for the Typhoon Ondoy victims.
After all he has been through, Xander opened up to the press on how he felt after seeing a teaser of his most recent project on screen. He said, "I was really touched. It was tough when we were filming in Korea. [The weather in Korea] is hotter than Manila, and I was wearing autumn clothes [during the shoot]. So, it was really hot and tiring. But when I saw all the hard work we did, it [turned out] really beautiful."
