Shanelle Agustin finds comfort in her friends whenever she reads negative comments online.

Shanelle Agustin firmly believes it's not possible to please everybody, so she would rather disregard the hate comments about her online.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Shanelle said that is just one way for her to protect her mental health since, as a celebrity, she's exposed to online bashing.

The Sparkle talent explained, “We can't please everyone kasi, so much as possible hindi ko pinapansin lahat ng bashing. After naman ng work, tini-treat ko 'yung sarili ko.”

Shanelle said that she also talks to her friends when she gets hurt with negative remarks about her.

“Minsan sini-share ko siya sa mga friends ko. Doon ako nagve-vent out kasi 'yung way ng pag-release ko ng stress or 'yung parang hurt ako or pain, nagsasabi ako sa ibang tao na-trusted ko. So, nakaka-help yun sa akin.”

This Sunday, September 22, Shanelle will be featured in the finale episode of the special mini-series Ok Ako titled "Lies, Likes and Life."

In this episode, Shanelle plays the role of Joyce, who will become an internet celebrity. But will also get bashed after her video went viral that she was chastising a carinderia staff.

The Sparkle beauty admitted that she felt anxious after reading the script of the said Ok Ako episode.

“Actually, at first, kinabahan ako kasi binabasa ko 'yung script. So, nung binasa ko 'yung script parang, oh my gosh, ang hirap pala na i-relate 'yung sarili mo sa isang character na parang hindi mo naman usually pinagdadaanan 'yung parang pinagdadaanan niya sa story na 'yun.” Shanelle recalled.

She continued, “So, ako 'yung preparation ko is nag-search ako kung ano ba 'yung ginagawa ng ganitong may pinagdadaanan. May ganitong hindi okay 'yung mental health.

“Naging okay naman 'yung performance ko and nag-ask din ako kina Direk kung okay lang ba [ganitong atake]. I'm happy na nakuha ko 'yung role na 'yun and I'm so happy na isa ako sa nakakuha ng project na 'to spread awareness din sa may mga mental [health issue].”
