Owe My Love tcard

The Kapuso rom-com series, 'Owe My Love' will make its world premiere on Monday, February 15, 9:35 P.M.!

Owe My Love is set to premiere tomorrow, February 15.

It's a Kapuso rom-com series top-billed by Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves, and will follow the story of their characters whose lives crossed paths following a series of unfortunate events concerning money and love.

If you haven't brought yourself up to date with this highly anticipated TV series, we've listed a few reasons why you should tune in and dare not miss it.

1. Owe My Love reunites Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves's love team.

After almost six years since their last on-screen pairing, Lovi and Benjamin are back together to breathe life into Pacencia “Sensen” Guipit and Doc Migs Alcancia, respectively, forming the love team, #SenMig.

But while audiences have seen them worked together - and convincingly - in their previous projects, the two Kapuso stars are sure to showcase a different side of their acting in Owe My Love.

Lovi claimed, “Finally, we're given the opportunity to do something light and nangyayari sa totoong buhay.

2. Owe My Love presents a powerhouse cast of comedy actors.

Owe My Love is going big on delivering laughter despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and it does so by assembling the best comedians in the industry.

Lovi and Benjamin will be portraying side-splitting scenes with no less than the Philippine Comedy Queen Aiai delas Alas. They will also be joined by comedy legends and veterans like Leo Martinez, Nova Villa, Ruby Rodriguez, and Mike “Pekto” Nacua, as well as stand-up comics and new bloods like Kiray Celis, Buboy Villar, Divine Tetay, Terry Gian, Jason Francisco, and Mahal.

3. Owe My Love mirrors the Filipino culture.

Guipit family

Owe My Love is definitely relatable, especially that it tries to reflect the realities and experiences of Filipinos. This will be well portrayed by the Guipit family.

Nova described this, saying, “Maipapakita natin dito 'yung ugaling Pilipino.

She also added, saying, “Of course, ang Pinoy hindi nawawala 'yung comedy.

4. Owe My Love has the heart for senior citizens.

Lolo Badong and Sensen

While Owe My Love positions itself as a rom-com series, the show doesn't shy away from tackling delicate and serious topics which include the lives of senior citizens.

Leo's character as Lolo Badong has a pivotal role in the development of the story, and he takes pride in the show giving attention to a sensitive subject matter.

He said, “Maganda po ang role na ito because it touches on senior citizens.

5. Owe My Love teaches about financial literacy.

Sensen and her list of debt

Nothing is more timely and valuable on Philippine TV than a show that not only provides entertainment but also information and awareness, and that is Owe My Love.

The program advocates financial literacy as its characters get confronted with the realities of our present situation. They attempt to make ends meet, provide for their families, and desire a better state of living or maintain their quality of life.

In fact, Owe My Love has been an eye-opener to its cast members, too.

Again, it doesn't necessarily buy you happiness but stability is so important, financial stability. It's a very real problem that we have now na marami po ang may kailangan ng tulong financially.”

Lovi meanwhile shared, “Ang natutunan ko po dito is to learn how to be a fighter in terms of our situation now, kung ano po 'yung nangyayari sa atin ngayon. That's one thing na natutunan ko sa 'Owe My Love;' gawin mo ang lahat to succeed and to make sure na makaahon ka sa sitwasyon.”

Undoubtedly, Owe My Love is the program we are about to realize tha we need right now.

Benjamin said it best, saying, “'Yung pagka-romantic-comedy genre po niya na mabigyan po tayo ng chance this 2021 na tumawa, maging masaya, at may lessons po tayo na mapulot sa 'Owe My Love.'”
