Winwyn Marque enjoys reading the hate messages of fans and viewers now that the Kapuso actress breathes life into the despicable Trixie Gibs in the Kapuso rom-com series, Owe My Love.
Winwyn has been known on-screen to portray kontrabida roles, and she is delighted to know that people continue to hate her villainous characters.

Winwyn reacted to these hate tweets, thanking the viewers who tuned in to Owe My Love.
Being a kontrabida in comedy
But while being a kontrabida appears to be Winwyn's comfort zone, the Kapuso star admits to being challenged now that she belongs to a rom-com series and shares the spotlight with the best comedians in the industry.
Winwyn is making sure she isn't just a character viewers will hate but someone they will love to hate and learn to love.
To marry her kontrabida acting and comedic chops, the actress pursued the advice of her directors and her father, Joey Marquez, who also made a name doing hilarious sitcoms.
She said, “Noong una kasi I talk to my directors. Sanay kasi ako kapag kontrabida, kontrabida talaga. Maldita, wala kang makikitang anything happy. Wala, very black talaga 'yung character. So tinanong ko lang kung ano 'yung magandang atake. Sinabi naman sa akin na I can play around with the character. So iniisip ko nalang kung paano ko siya babaliin. Minsan… lagi nga siyang palpak. So akala mo nagkokontrabida siya pero actually hindi niya talaga alam 'yung ginagawa niya.
“It's hard for me at first pero I was just enjoying it with my co-stars, and yun nga, I ask advice from my dad kung paano 'yung timing. Nagbibigay naman siya ng advice pero most of the time, pinagtitripan lang din niya talaga ako. So wala rin akong nakukuhang magandang advice. So siguro ano lang, I'm just taking it slow din kung paano ko aayusin 'yung character. Kasi nga mahirap eh, lahat ng ginawa ko kontrabida talaga eh. Walang kindness kumbaga. So I'm very excited for people to see me in this kind of character naman.”
