Actress and singer Crystal Paras is set to release a new song this January 2022 under GMA Playlist, and the Kapuso star got nostalgic as she related her upcoming single "Hintay" to her own experiences in love.

She said in an interview with GMANetwork.com, "I can relate to it because it encourages me to not hesitate telling someone about my feelings, being straightforward with what I want. Walang paligoy ligoy 'yung meaning ng kanta. The melody is catchy."

Crystal then opened up about her personal experience with love and waiting, similar to the story behind "Hintay."

"Okay, I will only say this here...sa mga Kapuso. Hindi ko na sasabihin kung sino. I can only say it's complicated," Crystal shared.

"It used to be me who was waiting," she revealed.

Crystal continued to share her current situation with love, "But now that I'm here reaching for my dreams, nagkapalit naman kami ng posisyon.

"Hindi ako magbibigay ng showbiz answers. Nagpalit na kami ng posisyon. The song is coming from my perspective naman.

"The reason why I relate to it so much is because I hope that he waits for me naman.

"It's been very difficult.

"Na-mold ako through experience. Dati gusto ko ipagsigawan sa mundo kung ano man 'yun...

"Ngayon sana siya naman maghintay sa akin," she disclosed.

If she were to give advice to her fans, Crystal believes in being upfront with how you feel.

"Shoot your shot guys, be straightforward," she said.

"There's so much beauty with being straightforward with your feelings and emotions. Mas madali kang maintindihan ka ng mga tao.

"Usually nakakatakot magsabi ng saloobin lalo na kapag sa romance, but sometimes the most unexpected things happen you just say what you feel.

"I hope the fans relate to it sobrang ganda ng kanta, may kilig talaga. 'Yun 'yung nararamdaman ko talaga and I hope they feel the same way.

"I think kapag nako-communicate mo nang maayos 'yung nararamdaman mo."

Going back to her song, Crystal described "Hintay" as a light romantic pop ballad.

Crystal said, "This is a very cutesy love song.

"There are love songs na kahit hindi malungkot, medyo mabigat 'yung feel.

"'Yung 'Hintay' mas light 'yung dating niya sa akin. It's something I would actually listen to, I'm proud to say that," she concluded.
