In the episode, Tonipet and Chef Laudico feast their eyes on the selection of food that Rue Bourbon offers with a price range of PhP 299 to PhP 1299 pesos per plate.

While there are many appetizers, viand, and desserts to choose from, a standout for both Tonipet and Chef Laudico would have to be its Oysters Rockefeller and Soul-food Platter.

If you must know, Oysters Rockefeller is a signature dish created in New Orleans around 1889 and was named after John D. Rockefeller, the then-wealthiest American, for its extreme richness.

The dish consists of oysters on a half-shell topped with a rich sauce of butter, parsley and other green herbs, and bread crumbs that are then baked or broiled and garnished with lemon wedges.

“These are good-sized oysters, ha,” Chef Laudico said upon taking a bite of the famous dish.

“Minsan kasi pag kumakain ka ng Oysters Rockefeller, sa sobrang dami ng cheese ay hindi mo na malasahan 'yung oysters.”

Meanwhile, Tonipet couldn't get enough of Rue Bourbon's Soul-food Platter, a mash-up of fall-of-the-bone tender BBQ Ribs, beer-battered fish fillet, chicken wings, savory fires, and java rice all-in-one.

“Okay 'yung fish nila kasi the beer batter is very light and crispy,” Chef Laudico noted.

“Minsan 'pag fish and chips ang tendency, e, 'yung coating niya very thick, which is not nice.

“Ito thin pero crispy pa rin, which is really good. And 'yung fish na ginamit nila thick-cut. Meron kasing iba na dinadaan nila sa batter. Mukhang malaki siya sa labas pero maliit lang pala sa loob.”
