That's why one restaurant is doing just that.
Meet Friends & Family PH, a restaurant that pays tribute to all the Pinoy comfort food every Filipino grew up. Opened in March 2018 in Bonifacio Global City, Friends & Family PH can house at least 60 people inside, with an additional 30 al fresco seating.
Like their name that extends to both family and friends, their menu also proves to be extensive as it offers party packages that range from PhP 500 to PhP 700 per head -- covering every course there is from the appetizer to the dessert.
If you're wondering what to order, here are a few recommendations from Pop Talk.
1. Barbeque Platter
Barbeque pork tenga, chicken inasal, special pork barbecue, isaw bilog, isaw manok, barbeque betamax, and salmon belly inihaw in one platter? It's a yes for us!
2. Superior Chopsuey
Superior? More like SOUP-erior! Friends & Family PH nailed down this special Chinese vegetable dish and made it entirely their own.
3. Salmon Head Belly Sinigang sa Miso
We're gonna take the word of Chef JP Landingin when he said, “Na-try ko ng soup ng sinigang at mapapa-pikit ka sa sarap ng asim, e." Sinigang is always a crowd pleaser!
4. Ube Champorado
Their best-selling dessert is best served hot with danggit on the side.
5. Leche Flan Turon with Choc-nut Sauce
If someone combined all of our favorite desserts to make a single dish, it would definitely be this one.
