Veteran actress Chanda Romero praised her co-stars in GMA's hit afternoon series Prima Donnas after they resumed taping last September 29, 2020 after six months.
The production of the show was temporarily halted in March because of the community quarantine restrictions.
"As an actor, bumilib ako sa lahat ng members ng cast," she said. "We stopped taping nung mag-lockdown dahil sa pandemic last March 2020, nag-resume kami September 29, 2020."
"Six months! Pero hawak pa rin nila 'yung roles na ginagampanan nila. In fact, mas intense ang performance nila ngayon, mas may kulay ang characters.
"I think a big part of that is because they missed playing their roles for six months."
The actress also shared her experience during the 21-day 'lock in taping' of the show in Antipolo, Rizal.
She shared, "When we finally arrived at our Prima Donnas 'lock-in taping' home, [it] was so emotional for me."
"We were all so happy to see other. There was some disbelief that we were really taping again, 'Totoo na ba to? Tuloy na ba talaga tayo? Totoo na nga!'
"There was that feeling of sabik, sabik to kiss and hug each other but we couldn't kasi we needed to be socially distanced with face masks and face shields."
Nevertheless, Chanda acknowledged the fact that they can bond together as they were staying in the same hotel.
She continued, "Still, we could feel the love for each other and the joy of being together again."
"Many of us had tears in their eyes, I know I did.
"And we lived in one place for weeks, tabi-tabi ang rooms, having our meals at the dining room or relaxing at the big porch with a nice view, eating, laughing.
"Lalo kaming naging close sa isa't isa... kahit 6 feet apart!"
