In a little over two weeks, fans of Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo and Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado will get to see them in the newest Kapuso series, Sanggang Dikit FR. And according to the real and reel-life couple, this show was a first for them in a number of ways.

At a press conference for the launch of their latest endorsement together with their daughter Dylan, the couple shared that Sanggang Dikit FR wasn't just the first time they worked together as a married couple, it was also the most action-packed series for both of them.

“First series naming bilang mag-asawa. Pero ito rin 'yung first series na pinakamaaksyon. First time din naming mapasama sa isang action series na magkasama kami,” Dennis explained. “Nakaka excite dahil iba 'yung dynamics nito sa mga characters namin. Hindi kami magsta-start as partners. Magkagalit kami sa umpisa. Nade-develop kami habang tumatagal.”

Dennis and Jennylyn play the characters P/Lt. Antonio “Tonyo” Conde and P/Sgt. Roberta “Bobby” Enriquez, respectively. Their two characters will be brought together by a high-profile murder involving people who are very close to them.

Dennis also commended the show's director, L.A. Madridejos, for expertly handling the show's story, which he feels is something that their fans and audiences should look forward to.

“Nakakatuwa dahil magaling 'yung director namin. Sobrang maalaga sa kuwento, sa eksena, sa patutunguhan nung bawat characters. 'Yun siguro, bukod don sa first time magkakasama kami, dahil doon sa napakagandang material na 'yun,” he said.

During a media conference held over the weekend, the couple also highlighted how the show highlights how the two of them are partners on and off the screen.

“Dito iha-highlight kung paano mag-partner sa lahat ng bagay,” Dennis said.

Jennylyn also shared, “On cam and off cam, kailangan magkasanggang-dikit kami.”
