Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil, and Jose Manalo play a vital role in the show as they decide whose talent will shine the most this season.

When the initial episodes aired last June 15 and 16, the StarStruck council earned numerous praises for the way they did their judging.

Heart explains why this season's council earned praises from viewers.

“The council kasi, I think it's a good mix,” Heart told GMANetwork in an interview during the launch of her L'Oréal lipstick collection on Monday, June 17.

She continued, “Because a competition is not just all about kapag maganda ka or kapag hindi, tanggal ka.

“You also need somebody who will comfort you at the end of the day not just because you weren't accepted doesn't mean you're not good enough.”

Heart also noted that GMA Network picked the rightful people to find the next big star.

She said, “I think GMA did a really good of getting the right mix of the people that will be part of the council.”

The Queen of Creative Collaborations admitted that she was chosen because of her experience in the industry.

“Alam ng GMA lahat ng pinagdaanan ko sa buhay. So, sometimes it's what you've experienced that makes you more credible. I guess, mas may wisdom ka.”
