GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable

We really looked for a material na babagay sa kanila. Alden has also expressed, including Bea, na gusto nila gumawa ng isang Korean adaptation. We have been looking," paliwanag ni Rasonable.

"Sabay-sabay siyang nangyari. It was not one thing that happened before the other. We were really looking for material that will be good to adapt after doing the successful Descendants of the Sun. At the same time, we were already talking with Bea. At the same time, we were already thinking of the next project of Alden. The stars aligned kaya nangyari 'yung Start-Up, kaya nangyari 'yung Bea-Alden casting para sa Start-Up," aniya.

"It was a long, tedious process of arguments between the production, 'yung writers, 'yung direktor, kami. May kanya-kanya kasing idea kung sino 'yung babagay [kasi] lahat, of course, nakapanaood. Ako, personally, I really love the show. So, kapag nag-iisip ka ng cast, gusto mo idikit talaga. At the end of the day, talagang kailangan may consensus kami kung sino 'yung pinakabagay [sa role at] bagay din para kay Alden at kay Bea--kung sino 'yung bagay na kapatid, kung sino 'yung pinakabagay na mag-portray noong grandmother. All of those things, medyo mahirap," pag-amin ni Rasonable.

Kaugnay nito, ginunita niya ang naging experience ng production sa Philippine adaptation ng Descendants of the Sun, na pinagbidahan nina Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes at Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado.

"Of course, palaging may risk na hindi mo masa-satisfy naman lahat ng fans ng show. We're just hoping that we would be able to do a good job doing the remake in the Filipino way, na mas magugustuhan sana ng audience.

"Gusto naman natin 'yung mangyari in the same way na noong Descendants of the Sun naman we did not disappoint. Marami rin naman comments noon and even bashing noong lumabas 'yung Descendants of the Sun. Hindi nila in-expect na ganito, ganyan. But when they finally saw it and watched it, tumigil na 'yung mga reklamo or 'yung mga bashing because they saw that we really did our best," bahagi niya.

"I think, we really did a good job with this one. I am confident. We have that experience backing us up that this will be a good one--another remake that will be a good one for our Filipino audience," lahad ni Rasonable.
