Two TikTok content creators have the same reaction when they watched the pilot episode of the highly-anticipated GMA Telebabad series Start-Up Ph.
Before the show's world premiere yesterday, September 26, these TikTok content creators and some members of the press had an opportunity to watch the show's pilot episode in the grand event of Start-Up Ph happened last September 17 at Robinson's Galleria.
Content creator Gelo De Vera, or dunnogelo on TikTok, praised the show's powerhouse cast, headlined by Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Bea Alonzo, Yasmien Kurdi, and Jeric Gonzales.
He said in one of his TikTok videos, "I honestly think [GMA] did a good job finding the actors for the characters. I think Bea and Alden did so well, but Jeric is a man to look out for."

Another TikTok content creator, KyeSees, agreed with Gelo that the actors were perfect for their respective characters.

When asked about the show's pilot episode, Gelo was all praises at how Filipino culture and simple antics have been incorporated in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama.
He explained in another video, "it's not new naman here in the Philippines that when a Philippine adaptation or a Tagalized version is announced, some people would cringe. However, Start-Up Ph is not cringey at all.
"It was able to perfectly capture the story while also relating it to a more Pinoy setup. As a Pinoy, maa-appreciate mo 'yung mga smallest details na ginawa talaga nilang tatak Pinoy.
"Second, there is still an exciting factor dahil may mga differences kayong mapapansin. Not so big differences naman but differences na kailangan talagang gawin para maging unique 'yung 'Start-Up Ph.'"
Gelo, who was a fan of the original Korean version, highly recommended Start-Up Ph to viewers.
"Still, kahit napanood mo na 'yung Start-Up na original sa Korea, mag-e-enjoy ka rin sa Start-Up Ph dahil may mga twists or surprises along the way.
"Number three, mag-e-enjoy ng Pinoys ang drama. With how the script was written, especially for Pinoys [na] enjoyment talaga, I think the actors were able to portray their characters in a more dramatic way.
"I can safely say na as a Pinoy na mas heartfelt ko siya, mas ramdam mo talaga 'pag pinanood mo 'yung Start-Up Ph.
"With all due respect to the original story, I think the Philippines has something to offer with this one."
