Unica Hija

The heartwarming final episode of Kate Valdez-led 'Unica Hija' aired on Friday, March 3, left viewers with an inspiring message: choose to be kind.

After airing for 17 weeks, the top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime series Unica Hija aired its last episode on Friday, March 3.

The show opened with Aica (Rere Madrid) mourning the death of her mother, Cara (Maybelyn Dela Cruz). Hope (Kate Valdez), Diane (Katrina Halii), and Ralph (Kelvin Miranda) came to sympathize with Aica.

Aica got a call from the police, informing her that her uncle Lucas (Bernard Palanca) went missing after allegedly escaping from jail.

It has come to Hope's knowledge that Lucas became the subject of an experiment after his dismembered body was found.

Diane believed that this is the consequence of Lucas's cruelty after trying to abusively examine Hope's body for medical research.

Meanwhile, Hope bid farewell to Ralph who flew abroad to get treatment for his illness.

Hope and Ralph continue to communicate despite being distant from each other.

All went well for Hope. Even her wicked adoptive sister, Carnation (Faith Da Silva), had a change of heart after putting her in danger many times.

Hope and Diane then went back to the cliff where the latter's daughter, Bianca (Kate Valdez), fell off and had a moment.

Thereupon, Hope realized that there's a reason behind the hardships, discrimination, and violence she has gone through in the past.

It serves as a reminder for everyone that all human beings are born equal and kindness matters in a world full of judgment.
