Voltes V Legacy The Cinematic Experience rating in imdb

IMDb.com users have given 'Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience' a weighted average vote of 9.2 out of 10.

Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience is continuously gaining a positive reception from viewers since its theatrical release last April 19.

Both fans and critics have testified to its cinematic quality, commending its storytelling, cast's stellar performance, musical scoring, and high-quality visual effects.

In fact, Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience scored a high rating on IMDb.com, regarded as the "world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content."

At this writing, 61 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 9.2 out of 10 where 72.1 percent of voters scored it a perfect 10.

According to its demographics, the ratings given for the movie version of Voltes V: Legacy which is based on the popular '70s Japanese anime Voltes V, were mostly from users aged from 30 to 44 years old.

Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience also earned favorable reviews from some IMDb users.

A certain rvalmeida made an extensive review of the phenomenal mecha movie, pointing out that "it will change Philippine cinema."

"Voltes V Legacy The Cinematic Experience is a must-see for all Filipinos, especially if you're a fan of the anime and the genre. Even if you're not a fan, this is truly historic because I believe this will be the game changer for Philippine cinema and TV, much like the movie RRR opened the door wide for Indian cinema,” rvalmeida wrote.

“You can wait for it on TV, but you will miss the theatric sounds, the grand scale visuals, the fast-paced action that only a movie can give. I had my biases coming into the movie, but after a few minutes, I was immersed and forgot I was watching a show made by Filipinos. This movie has reset the bar much higher for us, and I truly hope this will become a template for upcoming movies that we will produce. Actually, I wish that this movie becomes an international release that can spark interest in the making of other live action mecha like Gundam and Evangelion. Filipinos have been criticizing this negatively for a while now, and all I can say is, watch it first before you pass your judgment, and maybe, just maybe, we can be united for once in saying that this is a massive win for the industry and for GMA. Let's volt together!" rvalmeida added.

For IMDb user vonaldrinpaulo, the big budgeted GMA project is a "visual feast" because of its superb CGI, and solid action and dramatic scenes.

He also applauds the use of music that adds thrill to the whole cinematic experience.

"The musical score pans out smoothly. You might catch yourself singing along or tapping your fingers to the familiar tune," the rater pointed out.

He also dropped a special mention to Miguel Tanfelix and Carla Abellana who both portrayed their roles impressively.

"The captivating CGI and the musical score are not the only highlights of Voltes V: Legacy - A Cinematic Experience, the cast, too,” wrote vonaldrinpaulo.

"Standouts among the actors is Miguel, who perfectly transforms into a brooding Steve, with the way he effectively portrayed the role and delivered his lines, he has truly grown so much as an actor.

"Carla Abellana showcases her convincing prowess as an actress in her role as a doting mother and delivers in the heavy scene."

Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience features a special edit of the first three weeks of the live-action adaptation series, now showing in select SM cinemas.

Tickets to Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience are available on SM Cinema ticket counters, SMCinema.com, and SM Cinema app.
