The San Diego Comic Con 2023 was truly a remarkable experience for the 'Voltes V: Legacy' team.
Ysabel Ortega, who plays the role of Jamie Robinson in Voltes V: Legacy, shared how she and the other cast of the show felt with the support they got at the recent San Diego Comic Con.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the Sparkle artist recounted how they felt emotional, especially during the full panel session of the convention.
“Nakakaiyak, actually, sobra. 'Nung time na nag-panel kami, talagang sobrang naiyak kaming lahat,” Ysabel mused.
Ysabel also highlighted how they really felt the support of the Filipinos abroad for the show.
“Sobra kaming naging emotional sa support ng mga Pinoy sa ibang bansa for this show… Kita mo talaga na proud din sila. Voltes V: Legacy, a legacy of the Philippines kumbaga. Sobrang nakakatuwa,” the actress continued.
The Voltes V: Legacy Comic Con team--composed of Ysabel, Miguel Tanfelix, Gabby Eigenmann, Director Mark Reyes, GMA Senior Vice President Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Assistant Vice President for Drama Helen Rose S. Sese, and Assistant Vice President for Post Operations Vincent C. Gealogo--flew to the US for the annual comics convention earlier this month.

In a recent Instagram post, Ysabel also expressed how “speechless” she was from the support they got overseas.
“Speechless from the overflowing support of overseas pinoys and viewers of different races. Speechless from appreciating all of the hardwork that comes along with this show. Speechless to be part of a show that has changed the landscape of Philippine television, and speechless from how grateful [I] am of how this show has changed my life,” a part of Ysabel's caption read.
