After the hit GMA series Love of My Life, Carla Abellana and child actor Raphael Landicho will be playing mother and son again via the live-action anime adaptation, Voltes V: Legacy.
Here, Carla will portray Mary Ann Armstrong, the mother of three of the five Voltes 5 team members namely Steve, Big Bert, and Little John Armstrong.
Steve will be played by Miguel Tanfelix while Big Bert will be played by Matt Lozano.
Raphael, on the other hand, will give life to Little John.
Since Voltes V: Legacy marks their second team-up as mother and son, it's no surprise that Carla would get close to her onscreen child.
In fact, Raphael has found a fan in Carla as she has been constantly complimenting his cute TikTok videos.
In his latest TikTok video which he also shared on Instagram, Carla proudly exclaimed "Anak ko 'yan!" after seeing Raphael dance to Korean-American hip hop artist Jessi's smash hit "Zoom."
It seems that their mother-son portrayal has gone beyond work.
In another TikTok video which features Raphael and their Voltes V: Legacy co-stars Miguel and Ysabel Ortega, the nine-year-old boy called Carla "mama" in its comments section after the latter commented on the video.
Of course, Carla didn't get away without dancing with Raphael on TikTok.
According to Raphael, it is her Voltes V: Legacy mom who actually insisted on doing a dance collab with her.
Directed by Mark Reyes, Voltes V: Legacy is an exclusive offering of the GMA Entertainment Group. Its script, written by Suzette Doctolero, was approved by Toei Company, Ltd. and Telesuccess Productions Inc.
