Michael V. on 'Voltes V: Legacy': “#VoltesV has been a BIG part of my childhood and to experience a modern, Filipino approach to my beloved mecha is such a thrill for me!”

GMA Network released a new teaser of Voltes V: Legacy on Christmas eve, December 24.

The said teaser is a sneak peek of the upcoming show's mega trailer set to release during the network's New Year countdown TV special on December 31.

But as early as now, many viewers have already been raving about it as it shows new details particularly the lead cast in their costumes.

In fact, the teaser has now more than 1.2 million views on the official Facebook page of Voltes V: Legacy alone, as of this writing.

Several Voltes V fans expressed their excitement over the live-action adaptation series of the popular Japanese anime, including the comedy genius himself, Michael V.

In a comment, he wrote, "At this point, hindi na 'ko magiging critical about this. I will watch it and I will ENJOY it.”

"Yes, there will be flaws. Clearly it's not 'Transformers' VFX standard. I know that time and budget is and will always be an issue. Pero #VoltesV has been a BIG part of my childhood and to experience a modern, Filipino approach to my beloved mecha is such a thrill for me!” he added. "Siguro, mga totoong V5 fans lang ang kagaya kong makakaramdam ng ganito."

Bitoy went on, "Sa lahat ng mga Kapuso at KA-PUSO ko, I have 3 words for all of you…LET'S…VOLT…IN!"

Voltes: Legacy, written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Mark Reyes, bears the potential of being the Philippines' first serious epic sci-fi TV show as it is partnered with Toei Company, Ltd., the same company that brought the robot saga to life, and its local licensor Telesuccess Productions, Inc.

GMA also engaged the services of Riot Inc. Post-Production along with GMA Post Video graphics to handle the CGI and the live-action elements of the stories.
