OJ Mariano sings tenor as a member of The CompanY. He was specially chosen among many competent vocalists to complete the country’s premier vocal ensemble.
He has been recognized as the Best New Male Recording Artist of Awit Awards, Broadway World Philippines Awards’ Best Featured Actor in a Musical, and Best Actor in a Musical for Philstage's Gawad Buhay Awards for 2013.
While he is the newest addition to the group, his immediate rise to success in the world of theater has already earned him character roles in different productions, including Dulaang UP, Atlantis, Resorts World Manila and PETA.
As one of the mentors and judges, OJ looks for synergy among the To The Top trainees. “Each member of the band must be able to stand alone as an individual performer but at the same time, must gel well with the rest of the group to leave a strong impression on their audience,” he notes.
OJ also advises them to commit in their performances. He says, “A lot of hard work and heart. The stage and the audience deserve no less than 100% every time one is performing.”
