Sa pagpapatuloy ng Operation Bayanihan: Labanan Natin ang COVID-19, nagbigay ng tulong ang GMA Kapuso Foundation sa 4,500 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) at returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs).

Nagpasalamat naman si Secretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr. na Chief Implementer ng National Action Plan Against COVID-19 para sa suporta at kontribusyon ng GMA Kapuso Foundation sa kampanya nila laban sa COVID-19.

Sa isang sulat na ipinadaan niya kay GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rikki Escudero-Catibog, ibinahagi niya na napunta sa pagkain at iba pang basic needs para sa mga LSIs at ROFs ang donasyon mula sa Foundation.

Umaasa din daw siya sa patuloy na pakikipatulungan ng GMA Kapuso Foundation sa National Task Force Against COVID-19.

Dear Ms. Catibog:

On behalf of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 headed by our Chairperson Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Vice-Chairperson, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, I would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to your office for supporting the government in its fight against the dreaded disease.

Through the GMA-7 Kapuso Foundation's invaluable contribution and compassion, were were able to provide food and comfort to 4,500 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With your continued assistance, we hope to aid more of our countrymen who barely have the means to purchase their basic needs due to loss of their livelihood.

The NTF on COVID-19 is pleased to be working side by side our partners in the private sector who are demonstrating that the Bayanihan spirit is alive and strong in our country. Companies such as the GMA-7 Kapuso Foundation has strongly enabled the government to reach out and help our fellow Filipinos, especially those who are most in need and are located in remote areas in the countryside.

We assure you that the government is exerting all efforts to ensure that all necessary health and safety measures are put in place as our nation's economy re-opens and makes the transition to the "New Normal." We wish you, your personnel, and your families the best as we forge ahead and recover from this health crisis.

Patuloy ang GMA Kapuso Foundation sa paglikom ng pondo para mga medical supplies na ihahandog sa mga COVID-19 frontliners at sa mga pampublikong ospital sa ilalim ng kampanyang Operation Bayanihan: Labanan Natin ang COVID-19.

Kasama na rin dito ang pagbibigay ng grocery packs para sa mga pamilyang hindi makapaghanap buhay dahil sa lockdown na hatid ng quarantine.
