Dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic, susubukan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang pagboto sa pamamagitan ng internet.
Hinikayat ng Comelec ang mga lehitimong botanteng Filipino na nasa abroad na makibahagi sa gagawing pagsubok.
"Their registration status must be active, which means that it must not have been deactivated for failure to vote in the two previous elections in 2016 and 2019," paliwanag ng Comelec sa isang pahayag nitong Lunes.
Ang mga nais na makibahagi ay dapat may biometrics data, kasama na ang larawan, fingerprints at pirma.
Ang mga sasali sa test run, dapat mayroong smartphone na puwede sa Android o iOS apps, o kaya ay laptop o personal computer, o ano mang mobile device with internet/data access.
Makikita naman ang form na dapat sagutan ng nais sumali sa test run na makikita sa Facebook page ng Comelec's Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV).
"In compliance with our data privacy policy, interested participants will be required to email us their signed consent form, together with a copy of their passport or seafarer's book," sabi ni OFOV director Sonia Bea Wee-Lozada.
"We advise that they only send these documents to our official email address at overseasvoting@comelec.gov.ph," dagdag niya.
Ang mga sasali sa internet test voting ay maaaring magpalista hanggang sa 8 a.m. (Manila time) sa February 12, 2021.
