Kapuso Foundation statement on incident in Cabaro, Iligan City

"In response to rumors circulating on the Internet, the GMA Kapuso Foundation would like to clarify that there was no discrimination in Cabaro, Iligan City during Sendong relief operations, only a miscommunication. During a feeding activity in Cabaro, the Kapuso relief team was instructed to deliver goods to a nearby hard-hit community that had not yet been reached. The reason for leaving Cabaro was not clearly explained to all. The Kapuso Foundation will soon be returning to Cabaro. The Kapuso Foundation has a long history of exemplary work in Mindanao, including in many Muslim communities, and regrets if there was a misunderstanding during this recent crisis."
