After a successful nationwide tour of the Energizer Night Race in 2011, Energizer and GMA-7 are bringing back a bigger, brighter Night Race to Bonifacio Global City on May 4. One of the country’s most unique running events is back with a twist. This year’s night race allows runners to flex their creative muscles with mini-activities that show running in a different light. Runners and fitness enthusiasts get to light up the streets with brightly designed singlets and the signature Energizer headlight. Runners are also invited to take photos throughout the course to document their experience. Runners with the most creatively designed singlet and the best photographs get to take home special prizes.
Each runner will receive race kits which include the Energizer headlight with three AAA Energizer batteries, a singlet, neon fabric paint pens, and an Energizer cap. The night race is composed of 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer races where the top three finishers from each category will receive cash prizes, medals, and gift packs.
Energizer encourages everyone to race for a brighter world as part of the proceeds of the event will be for the benefit of GMA Kapuso Foundation and One Million Lights, Philippines.
Interested participants can register online via www.energizerbatteries.com.ph/NightRace or at the following outlets: Runner in Bonifacio High Street, Brooks in SM North EDSA, Toby’s branches in Shangrila, Glorietta, and SM Mall of Asia.
The event is part of a worldwide tour of the Energizer Night Race. The event emphasizes the endurance of Filipino runners and health enthusiasts who, like the Energizer icon, keeps on going and going.
