Jessica Soho renews exclusive contract with GMA Network

Her knack for the unusual led to a stellar career that spanned almost three decades. And on her 28th year in the broadcast industry, the country’s most awarded broadcaster, Jessica Soho, renewed her exclusive contract with her home channel, GMA Network. The first Filipina who won the George Foster Peabody Award for Investigative Journalism in 2000, Soho hosts the top-rating weekend news magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. She also anchors GMA News TV's primetime newscast State of the Nation with Jessica Soho and banners the public affairs program Brigada. Soho, who was cited by Reader’s Digest Asia as the country’s most trusted news presenter for two years in a row, is also the Network's Vice President for News Programs. “Talaga namang to the very core of my being, Kapuso ako, dito na ako nagkapangalan. Dito na ako nakilala at malaki ang utang na loob ko sa Network na ito. Kaya ako ang dapat magpasalamat sa renewal na ito ng aking kontrata,” Soho said. This month, Soho will lead the most comprehensive and most credible coverage of the 2013 mid-term elections – GMA News and Public Affairs’ Eleksyon 2013. Present during the signing were GMA Network Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon; President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr.; Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong;  and Senior Vice President for News and Public Affairs Marissa L.
